A Private Pilot License (PPL) allows you to legally fly an aircraft for personal, non-commercial purposes. In simple terms, you can fly with a PPL in a private capacity, but you can not be paid to fly as a pilot with a PPL. To get paid to fly as a pilot, you require a Commercial Pilot License (CPL).
